To call a thing 'common-place' becomes therefore just the same as if you confided to your friend the fact that you felt sick or insane. I believe the most unphilosophical, irreligious and immoral word in the English language is the word 'common-place'.
Een ding 'gewoon' noemen is voor mij hetzelfde als een vriend toevertrouwen dat je ziek bent, of je verstand verloren hebt. Van alle woorden in onze taal is 'gewoon' in mijn ogen het meest onfilosofische, irreligieuze en amorele woord.
